Auction
The Seacliff Village
Plan Committee (SVPC ), led by Pepper Golesh and
Dan Holdren, was formed to work with Santa Cruz
County to develop a general plan for Seacliff. The
SVPC sponsored the community planning sessions that
produced the Seacliff Village Plan. The SVPC also
sponsored the Find A Park in Your Heart auction with
a lot of help from the Aptos Chamber of
Commerce and the Seacliff Improvement Association.
Those who eventually founded
SNAP, Inc. served on the SVPC Board of Directors
and as members of the SVPC Park Subcommittee. However,
recognition of this event is important, as it was
a major milestone in community awareness of and
fundraising for the Seacliff Park effort. |
